We’re still waiting for the cervidil to be removed before we can get a good check for dilation and effacing. This should take place around 12:45, at which point I’ll post another update.
I took a few minutes to create a photos page and uploaded a couple of maternity photos (great work by Heather). When the time comes, I’ll upload some more.
We had a few visitors today, which was nice and helped break up the waiting.
I’ve been reflecting on how Suzanne and I have felt today. We’ve been tired and she’s definitely been uncomfortable, but there’s been plenty of laughter. My wife is amazing. We’re best friends, and God has really been with us during this, bringing us closer together. The day we told our families that something was potentially wrong, we asked our families to pray that this would bring us closer together. I think they have prayed, and God has answered. We know the road is still long, but God has prepared it so that we can walk it faithfully. Oh, how mighty and merciful he is!
Time to catch a few minutes of sleep...
