The cytotec hasn’t produced the desired results, so we’re basically in the same spot as last night as far as the cervical ripening process goes. There were some irregular contraction patterns triggered by the cytotec but these don’t appear to be concerning as much as they are frustrating and dragging out the process. The doctor said we can start pitocin which will frequently break this contraction pattern we’re seeing. We haven’t decided exactly what we want to do, but that will probably be our next move.
In any event, we didn’t sleep nearly as much as we had hoped. I have that nauseous feeling associated with lack of sleep, but Suzanne is hardier than me and doesn’t feel terribly deprived. I’ll try to steal a few more minutes of shut-eye before things get more animated around here.
