Abram Ezra Price was born and went to be with the Lord June 14, 2018.

Check back often for reflections on Abram’s life.

22:20 - Settling In

Suzanne went back to finish the admission process while I held down the waiting room and finished up a much-too-quiet-to-hear episode of Jeopardy.

I was able to go to the room around 17:40.  The nurse who has been following us through this process was here, and that was a major relief.  She has been amazingly helpful over the last few months.  It was good to see a familiar face.  (As an aside, the program she works with is phenomenal.  It’s a bridge program that advocates for families in situations like ours, walking with them through the entire process.  It would be impossible to say too much about this program and the people running it!)

Abram’s heartbeat was good when they last checked.  They administered cytotec around 20:30 to begin the ripening of the cervix.  We can expect checks and more cytotec every 4 hours until the morning.  We may have to start pitocin in the morning.

We appreciate all of the prayers and kind words of encouragement we have been receiving.  We are doing well.  We believe that God loves Abram more than even we do, and we trust God with our baby.  If he lives, it will be to God’s glory.  If he dies, the Lord will receive him in perfect love.  Either way, God’s goodness is magnified!

If you have a moment, listen to this song and accompanying audio that has meant so much to me over the last several months.
